Well, I know this is supposed to be about tigons and ligers but there's something else that needs every body's attention too. It's white tigers. They need our help just as much as the other cats because they need people to stand up and scream at the top of their lungs, STOP INBREEDING THEM!! That, my human friends, is the reason there are so many white tigers in the world. Humans, namely people that are wanting to "preserve" the species that does not even exist, are inbreeding father to daughter, mother to son, brother to sister in order to get this white, recessive gene. If you really pay attention there are so many birth defects with white tigers that most people will kill them because they are so deformed. So because they are so "ugly" nobody will want to come see them. Yeah, most of the white tigers that are born end up like Kenny. That's the name of the tiger in the link. He was mentally retarded, and that's another thing that happens to them. (Just think of all the backwoods hicks.) *Mental head slap.* Now all you people that support abortion ought to feel guilty right now because to me, it's the same thing. You breed something and then up killing it because it doesn't come out right. How is that fair to them? How is ANY of this fair to them? Would you let your daughter have sex with your son? How about your wife have sex with your son? Daugher with your husband? I really don't think so.
Then you have your supposed supporters out there like Siegfried and Roy and all they can do to keep their money rolling in is make more of these great creatures. I do call them great because all big cats are great but unfortunately they are creatures.

Help Boycott Cruelty to Tiger
Well, So much for there being any justice in this horrible world we live in. Tony the Truckstop Tiger unfortunately has to stay with the asshole that is keeping him in a concrete pin all day and night. Somebody needs to take a look at that poor tigers paws and see if they are cracked and dry. Probably so. Also, they probably use bleach to clean out his cage, if they clean it out, and that's not helping any either. That man is a piss poor excuse for a human being.
Micheal S. Sandlin needs to be put into a concrete cage, have flood lights put on him all night and day, have rocks thrown at him and smell the diesel and gas fumes all day and night and see how he likes it. Fuckin prick.
I also think that if any of the people that are reading this are truck drivers, or know of any truck drivers that go to or through Louisiana, please urge them not to stop or do any kind of business at Tiger Truck Stop. Wouldn't it be funny if the truck stop went out of business because of the fact that most truck drivers are good people that do not condone animal exploitation. Poor, poor kitties.
I read somewhere once, "Don't be mad at these poor animals, it's not their fault." This is quite true. The ones that we should be mad at are the breeders. THEY are the cruel ones that have caused the suffering of these animals. These poor cats that we hear of more and more often have no idea that they are not supposed to be.
According to Wikipedia, there is a common misconception that 'tigons' are smaller than lions or tigers. They do not exceed the size of their parent species because they inherit growth-inhibitory genes from the lioness mother, but they do not exhibit any kind of dwarfism or miniaturisation either- often weighing around 180 kilograms (400 lb.). It said nothing about gigantism, hurting the mother cat that carries them, or the possibility of the mother dying when the cub is born. Nothing is said at all about the downfalls of having such a large animal. It only tells you about the "good" things.
There are no real good things, though. These animals are a freak of nature. The only ligers and tigons are ones that were bred in captivity. They cannot live on their own, they have conflicting behavior instincts, suffer severe depression, and are prone to cancer and other diseases. Their DNA is not complete. Most of the tigons are born prematurely; they are small and prone to dwarfism. The ligers all suffer from gigantism and grow throughout their lives.
I had been tricked as has the rest of the public. I thought that circuses were cool and that white tigers were one of the world's most beautiful creatures. I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, white tigers are still really pretty, but I have since learned a lot more about them than their color.They are also genetic mutants, created through man-induced inbreeding.
In this world there is, unfortunately, killing for pelts, cross breeding, inbreeding, and ownership. Ownership is what it's mostly about. Think about it: you cannot domesticate a tiger, lion, or other wild animal. They are too wild; too unpredictable (recall Siegfried & Roy).These manmade genetic mutants were never meant to be, and live a life of suffering for the amusement of unthinking, uncaring humans that just want an unusual pet to show off. How sad.
